Country

Country: Norway

Norway has become an increasingly visible filming country, especially for productions looking for dramatic mountains, fjords, glaciers and Arctic landscapes. Hardangerjøkulen near Finse was used as the ice planet Hoth in “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”, while Preikestolen provided one of the most spectacular locations in “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”. Norway has also appeared in films such as “No Time to Die”, “Black Widow”, “Dune”, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty”. The country’s natural scenery is often the main attraction, from the Atlantic Ocean Road and the Rauma Railway to fjords, valleys and remote northern landscapes. With its combination of rugged wilderness, modern city locations and distinctive Nordic atmosphere, Norway has become a strong filming destination for both international blockbusters and local productions.
