Cemetery of Our Saviour (Vår Frelsers gravlund) is one of Oslo’s most historic cemeteries, located near Gamle Aker Church. Established in 1808, it is closely associated with Norwegian cultural history and contains the graves of several major national figures. The cemetery is also known for its monuments and funerary sculpture, including Fabritius’ Angel, the marble statue created by Gustav Vigeland in 1899.

The cemetery appears in Sentimental Value, where it is used as a recognisable Oslo location. Its pathways, gravestones and monuments form part of the film’s urban setting, linking the scene directly to a real and historically significant part of the city.

In Sentimental Value, the main character is seen running through Cemetery of Our Saviour. During the sequence, she passes Fabritius’ Angel, Gustav Vigeland’s well-known marble statue from 1899. The inclusion of that monument makes the location identifiable and ties the scene to one of the cemetery’s best-known artworks.
