Eggen Restaurant is a mountaintop restaurant above Åndalsnes in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. The restaurant sits 708 metres above sea level on Nesaksla and is reached by Romsdalsgondolen from the town centre. From the restaurant and surrounding viewpoint, there are wide views over Åndalsnes, the Romsdalsfjord, the Rauma river and the surrounding mountains, including Romsdalshorn, Store Vengetind and Kirketaket. The combination of modern architecture, glass, steep mountain terrain and panoramic views makes Eggen Restaurant one of the most distinctive contemporary locations in the Romsdal area.

Eggen Restaurant appears in Succession, in “Kill List”, episode 5 of season 4. The episode takes the Roy family and Waystar Royco executives to Norway for negotiations with Lukas Matsson and GoJo. While Juvet Landscape Hotel is used as Matsson’s retreat, Eggen Restaurant becomes the more exposed mountaintop location where the business conflict moves into its final stage. The restaurant is closely connected to Romsdalsgondolen, which brings the characters up to Nesaksla.

In Succession (2023), Eggen Restaurant appears in “Kill List”, episode 5 of season 4. The restaurant is used for the main negotiation meeting between Waystar Royco and GoJo during the company retreat in Norway. Several people from both companies are present at Eggen, making the scene part corporate summit, part power display. After the larger group meeting, Kendall Roy, Roman Roy and Lukas Matsson move into the section of the restaurant with the clearest panoramic view, where they continue the conversation more privately. The glass-walled restaurant and mountain setting give the negotiation a dramatic, exposed atmosphere, with the characters placed high above Åndalsnes while the future of Waystar Royco is being fought over. The three men do not reach an agreement there, and the episode later returns to Juvet Landscape Hotel for the party, where the tension from the failed negotiation continues in a more social setting.
