Liban Quarry is a historic limestone quarry in Kraków, Poland, opened in 1873 by industrialist Bernard Liban Kraków Travel. During World War II (1942–1944), it served as a Nazi penal labour camp for Poles, a history now commemorated by a monument. It is also known as the filming location for the camp scenes in Schindler’s List.
The 1993 Steven Spielberg film Schindler’s List was filmed at the Liban Quarry (Kamieniołom Liban) in Kraków, Poland. The site was used to replicate the Płaszów concentration camp, featuring constructed barracks and a set with a paved road built with Jewish matzevot (tombstones).
