Saschiz Fortified Church is a late Gothic fortified church in the village of Saschiz in Mureș County, Romania. Built from the late fifteenth century onward by the Transylvanian Saxon community, it is one of the UNESCO-listed fortified churches of Transylvania. The church is especially recognisable for its defensive character and for the tall clock tower beside it.
Saschiz Fortified Church appears in Elvira’s Haunted Hills (2001). However, the film does not use the church as a full location view. Instead, only part of the building is visible on screen.
