Villas Rosa dei Venti is a luxury villa complex on the hill above Rabac on the eastern coast of Istria, Croatia. The property sits among olive trees and greenery, with views over the Kvarner Bay and the Adriatic Sea. It consists of two detached villas with large terraces, outdoor spaces, an infinity pool and a Mediterranean-style exterior that makes it look like a small private village rather than a single holiday house. Its position above Rabac gives the location a secluded coastal character, which has made it useful for productions needing a private villa with sea views and a sense of distance from the surrounding town.
Villas Rosa dei Venti appears in The Day of the Jackal (2024–), where it is used as the Jackal and Nuria’s home. In the series, the villa is presented as being in Cádiz, Spain, but the real location is in Rabac, Croatia. The location has also been used for The Bachelor Netherlands (2021), with the villa’s own site noting that Warner Bros chose the property as the main location for that production.
In The Day of the Jackal (2024), Villas Rosa dei Venti appears as the Jackal’s villa, where he lives with Nuria and their child. The location is used as his private home away from the assassinations, false identities and travel that define the rest of his life. The series presents the house as being in Cádiz, but the scenes were filmed in Croatia, on the Istrian coast above Rabac. The villa appears in several domestic scenes, giving the Jackal a controlled and secluded family environment that contrasts with the work he keeps hidden from Nuria. The sea views, terraces, pool area and private setting make the house one of the series’ most recognisable recurring locations outside the assassination plot itself.
