Deauville Beach Cabins, or Les Planches, Deauville’s famous boardwalk, refers to the distinctive beach cabins along Les Planches, the famous boardwalk on Deauvilleโs seafront in Normandy. The cabins form part of one of the townโs best-known architectural features and are closely associated with Deauvilleโs identity as a historic seaside resort. Together with the wooden promenade and beach frontage, they have become one of the most recognisable images of the town.
The Deauville beach cabins have appeared in both A Man and a Woman and Sentimental Value. In both films, they are used as part of the Deauville seafront setting and are clearly identifiable through the long row of cabins along Les Planches.
In A Man and a Woman, the cabins appear as part of the Deauville beachfront and boardwalk setting used in the filmโs seaside scenes. They are visible along the promenade and help establish the town as one of the filmโs key locations.
