The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is an American post-apocalyptic television series set within the wider Walking Dead universe, with Norman Reedus returning as Daryl after washing ashore in France under mysterious circumstances. The series follows his attempt to understand how he got there and to find a way home, but it gradually becomes a story about reluctant responsibility, survival and human connection as he is drawn into a conflict involving religious communities, violent factions and a child believed by some to have a special destiny. Mont-Saint-Michel becomes one of the most important settings in the series, giving the story one of its strongest visual symbols, while Paris itself contributes everything from monumental boulevards to underground ossuaries and museum spaces. Altogether, the locations create a version of post-apocalyptic France that feels rooted in real geography, moving from Mediterranean edges and rural roads to historic abbeys, central Paris and the iconic island silhouette of Mont-Saint-Michel.
