Pont d’Iéna Stairs is a practical name for the stairway beside Pont d’Iéna in Paris, descending from the bridge level down toward the riverside road along the Seine near the Eiffel Tower. The bridge itself was completed in the early nineteenth century and connects the area around the Eiffel Tower with the Trocadéro side of the river.

Pont d’Iéna Stairs appears in A View to a Kill (1985). The stairway is used as part of one of the film’s best-known Paris action sequences.

In A View to a Kill (1985), James Bond hijacks a Renault taxi after leaving the Eiffel Tower and drives it down the stairs beside Pont d’Iéna before speeding along the riverside in pursuit of May Day. The stairway is therefore used directly as an action location rather than simply as part of the Paris background.
