Will Smith (born 25 September 1968) is an American actor, producer, and musician who became one of the most bankable global stars of the 1990s and 2000s. He first found success as half of the hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, winning a Grammy before reaching a much wider audience as the lead of the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990โ1996). Smith transitioned to film with a run of major hits that established him as a leading man in action, comedy, and science fiction, including Bad Boys, Independence Day, Men in Black, and Enemy of the State.
