Baby Driver is a 2017 action thriller written and directed by Edgar Wright, starring Ansel Elgort as Baby, a young getaway driver who uses music to control his tinnitus and synchronise himself with the world around him. Working for the criminal organiser Doc, Baby is drawn into a series of robberies while trying to escape his debt and build a normal life with Debora, a waitress he meets at Bo’s Diner. The Candler Building on Peachtree Street appears as the bank in the opening robbery, while Peachtree Center, the Healey Building, local streets around downtown Atlanta and other city landmarks help give the film its specific urban identity. The production also used locations in Gainesville and rural Monroe County, but Atlanta is the real centre of the film, not merely a stand-in for another city. Its roads, intersections, towers and car-heavy geography are built directly into the action, making Baby Driver feel like a heist film choreographed through the movement, rhythm and layout of Atlanta itself.

Candler Building is best known from "Baby Driver" (2017), where it is used as the First Bank of Atlanta in the film’s opening robbery sequence.
