A Night at the Roxbury (1998) is an American comedy directed by John Fortenberry, based on the recurring Saturday Night Live sketch โ€œThe Roxbury Guysโ€. Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan star as Steve and Doug Butabi, two nightclub-obsessed brothers whose dream is to get inside the exclusive Roxbury club and eventually open a club of their own. The film follows their repeated failures at the door, their strained relationship with their father, and their unlikely brush with fame after a run-in with Richard Grieco. Built around the duoโ€™s head-bobbing dance routine to Haddawayโ€™s โ€œWhat Is Loveโ€, the film became one of the most recognisable late-1990s Saturday Night Live spin-offs.

Several Los Angeles locations were used in A Night at the Roxbury. The Roxbury itself is split between different real locations: the exterior was filmed at Billboard Live on Sunset Boulevard, while the club interior was filmed at The Mayan in Downtown Los Angeles. The film also used other West Hollywood and Los Angeles locations, including Whisky a Go Go, Beverly Hills and the area around Holloway Drive and Hacienda Place for the Butabi familyโ€™s artificial plant store.
