Bo Hai Dumpling Town is a small dumpling shop at 217 East Broadway in the Two Bridges area of Manhattan, New York. The storefront is part of the same building used as Elliot Alderson’s apartment exterior in Mr. Robot, placing the restaurant directly inside one of the show’s most recognisable New York locations. The shop had a plain, functional appearance rather than a polished restaurant look, with Chinese signage, a narrow street frontage and a working dumpling-shop atmosphere. Its position beside Elliot’s entrance made it an important part of the visual identity of his neighbourhood in the early part of the series.

Bo Hai Dumpling Town appears in Mr. Robot (2015–2019), where the building at 217 East Broadway is used as Elliot Alderson’s apartment building. The restaurant is visible at street level, directly beside the entrance to Elliot’s building, making it part of the show’s Lower East Side / Two Bridges geography. The production later replicated parts of Elliot’s apartment at Silvercup Studios, but the real East Broadway exterior remained one of the key real-world locations associated with Elliot.

In Mr. Robot (2015), Bo Hai Dumpling Town appears outside Elliot Alderson’s apartment building in season 1. The restaurant is visible when characters meet or leave Elliot near his building on East Broadway, including scenes where Angela comes to see him. The location helps establish Elliot’s everyday world before the story moves between Allsafe, E Corp, fsociety and the wider conspiracy around him. Its ordinary storefront, street-level signage and position next to his entrance make the building feel lived-in and specific, rather than like a generic New York apartment exterior.
