Ghosted (2023) is an American romantic action comedy directed by Dexter Fletcher. Chris Evans stars as Cole Turner, a farmer whose ordinary life changes after he meets Sadie Rhodes, played by Ana de Armas. After what appears to be a promising first date, Cole becomes convinced that Sadie is ignoring him and decides to follow her to London, only to discover that she is actually a CIA operative. The two are quickly pulled into an international mission involving arms dealers, assassins and a dangerous biochemical weapon. Adrien Brody plays the villain Leveque, with Mike Moh, Tim Blake Nelson, Amy Sedaris and Tate Donovan among the supporting cast. The film mixes romantic comedy, spy adventure and large-scale action, turning a misunderstanding about being โ€œghostedโ€ into a globe-trotting secret-agent story.

Ghosted presents itself as an international adventure moving through Washington, London, Pakistan and other locations, but much of the production was built from filming in Georgia, Washington, D.C., New Mexico and London. Georgia supplied several of the filmโ€™s key American and foreign-looking settings. Marietta Square was used for Coleโ€™s farmers market, where he first meets Sadie, with The Strand Theatre visible in the background. Eddieโ€™s Attic in Decatur appears in the date sequence, while other Atlanta-area locations were used for Coleโ€™s home, nightclub material and the constructed Pakistan street scenes. The final rotating restaurant sequence is also closely tied to Atlanta, with the cityโ€™s Polaris restaurant at the Hyatt Regency serving as an important reference point for the sceneโ€™s design and action. Washington, D.C. provides several of the filmโ€™s most recognisable real landmarks, including the National Gallery of Art, Fordโ€™s Theatreโ€™s Lincoln Book Tower, the Exorcist Steps in Georgetown and the Wharf/Recreation Pier area. London appears when Cole follows Sadie abroad, with Tower Bridge, Shad Thames and The Vault 1894 under the bridge connected to his attempt to find her. New Mexico was used for the Khyber Pass-style mountain material, while Atlanta sets were used to create the city of Mingora in Pakistan. The filmโ€™s location identity is therefore deliberately artificial and fast-moving: real American city streets, D.C. monuments, London riverside locations, Georgia stand-ins and desert mountain landscapes are combined to create the impression of a much larger spy-movie world.
