Christopher Lloyd (born 22 October 1938) is an American actor known for a long career in film, television, and theatre, often playing eccentric, unpredictable, or intensely focused characters. He trained in stage acting and built early recognition with his role as Reverend Jim Ignatowski on the sitcom Taxi, a performance that earned him Emmy Awards and established his gift for offbeat comedy and sharp character work.

Lloyd became a global pop-culture icon as Doc Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy (1985โ€“1990), bringing manic energy, warmth, and conviction to one of cinemaโ€™s most memorable inventors. His film career also includes key roles in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Addams Family and Addams Family Values as Uncle Fester, and One Flew Over the Cuckooโ€™s Nest, where he appeared early in his screen career. He has continued working steadily for decades, including voice acting and guest roles, and remains widely celebrated for performances that combine strong physical acting with distinctive vocal and comedic style.
