Ving Rhames (born 12 May 1959) is an American actor known for his deep voice, imposing screen presence, and long-running work across film and television. He trained at the Juilliard School and gained wider attention in the early 1990s, with roles in films such as Jacobโ€™s Ladder (1990) and, most famously, as Marsellus Wallace in Pulp Fiction (1994). Rhames became a global fixture in blockbuster cinema as Luther Stickell, the expert hacker and Ethan Huntโ€™s closest ally in the Mission: Impossible series, a role he has played since the first film in 1996.

Alongside action work, he has taken on a range of dramatic parts, including an award-winning performance as Don King in the television film Don King: Only in America (1997). He has also done prominent voice acting, including the character Cobra Bubbles in Disneyโ€™s Lilo & Stitch, and has remained a dependable character actor whose authority and warmth can carry both intense drama and lighter genre entertainment.
