Sky Riders (1976) is an American action-adventure film directed by Douglas Hickox. It is best remembered for its pioneering use of hang gliding in cinema, featuring breathtaking aerial stunts that were quite revolutionary for the mid-70s.

The story is set in Greece, where the wife (Susannah York) and children of a wealthy industrialist (Robert Culp) are kidnapped by a radical terrorist group. The captors hold them in an ancient, abandoned monastery perched atop a jagged, inaccessible cliff.

It was filmed at the spectacular Meteora monasteries in Greece โ€“ including Monastery of the Holy Trinity. This location is so cinematic that it was later used for the climax of the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only (1981).
