Author and Publisher

That Film Spot is researched, written and maintained by Runar Pettersen, a Norway-based writer, photographer and filming-location enthusiast.

The site is published independently through Pettersen Media and grew out of a personal interest in visiting filming locations, recognising real places on screen, and documenting them through original photography and research.

Runar has a long background in film, music and cultural journalism. He was the festival director of Oslo Fright Fest, editor of the Norwegian horror film website Skrekkfilm.com, and is the curator of Inferno Film, the film programme connected to Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo.

This background in film culture, genre cinema and event programming helps shape the editorial approach of That Film Spot. The site focuses on real places used in film and television, with emphasis on accurate location identification, scene context, original location photography and practical information for readers who want to understand or visit filming locations.

Location pages are researched and edited manually. Some locations have been visited and photographed directly, while others are researched through maps, production information, screen comparison and publicly available sources. The goal is to build a useful and reliable archive of filming locations, from famous landmarks to obscure places that appear on screen for only a few seconds.

Corrections, additional details and well-sourced location tips are welcome through the contact page.
