Windjammer Bar is a neighbourhood bar in Ridgewood, Queens, New York. The bar sits on Grandview Avenue near the border between Queens and Brooklyn, and has the character of a classic local dive bar rather than a polished Manhattan cocktail spot. Inside, the bar is known for its cosy, slightly worn atmosphere, nautical details, model ships, stained glass cabinetry, a pool table, pinball and other old bar fixtures. This makes it a useful filming location for productions that need an authentic New York bar with real neighbourhood texture rather than a generic studio-built interior.

Windjammer Bar appears in Only Murders in the Building, where it is used as Concussions, a fictional bar connected to the stunt performer community. The location is used in season 4, episode 4, “The Stunt Man”, with both the exterior and interior of Windjammer standing in for the bar. The same location also appears again in the season’s stunt-world storyline, making it one of the more distinctive real New York locations used in that part of the series.

In Only Murders in the Building (2024), Windjammer Bar appears as Concussions in “The Stunt Man”, episode 4 of season 4. Charles, Oliver and Mabel visit the bar while investigating the world around Sazz Pataki and the stunt performers connected to her. The bar functions as a meeting place for stunt people, giving the episode a separate subculture within New York: a place where bruises, injuries and old film-war stories are part of the social environment. Windjammer’s real dive-bar interior helps make Concussions feel lived-in, with the bar, seating, walls and low-key neighbourhood atmosphere working as a strong contrast to the more elegant Arconia setting elsewhere in the series.
