Alison Brie (born 29 December 1982) is an American actress and producer known for effortlessly moving between comedy and drama. She first gained wide attention as Trudy Campbell on the period drama Mad Men (2007–2015), then became a fan favourite as Annie Edison on the sitcom Community (2009–2015), where her timing and warmth helped anchor the ensemble.
In the late 2010s she earned major critical praise as one of the leads of Netflix’s wrestling dramedy GLOW (2017–2019), which brought her award nominations and showcased a more dramatic, physical side to her work. Brie has also built a strong film career with roles in projects ranging from comedy to horror and drama, including The Post, Promising Young Woman, and various independent films, while continuing voice work in animation.
