Spider-Man: Far From Home is a 2019 superhero film directed by Jon Watts and the follow-up to Spider-Man: Homecoming. Starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, the story picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame and sends Peter on a school trip through Europe just as he is pulled into a new crisis involving Nick Fury, Mysterio and a series of destructive elemental attacks. Compared with the previous film, this one leans more heavily into travel, spectacle and the tension between Peterโ€™s wish for an ordinary teenage life and the global expectations suddenly placed on him.

The film was shot across several countries, with Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Hertfordshire serving as the main production base while real location work took place in London, the Czech Republic, Italy and the New York area. Venice is one of the most memorable real-world settings, with filming around the Rialto Bridge, Campo Santa Maria Formosa, Campo San Rocco and the Arsenal gate, while a large section of the canalside action was also recreated on the Leavesden backlot. In the Czech Republic, production used Prague and Liberec, including the Carlo IV Hotel and Vinohrady Theatre, helping to give the middle stretch of the film a grand Central European atmosphere. Later filming also took place in New York City, Newark and at Newark Liberty International Airport, reinforcing the filmโ€™s mix of school-trip comedy, international action and a final return to the wider Spider-Man world.
