Demi Moore (born 11 November 1962) is an American actor and producer who became one of Hollywood’s most prominent stars from the late 1980s through the 1990s. She first gained attention as part of the “Brat Pack” era with films such as St. Elmo’s Fire (1985), before establishing herself as a major leading actor in Ghost (1990), one of the biggest hits of the decade. Moore went on to headline a string of high-profile films including A Few Good Men (1992), Indecent Proposal (1993), Disclosure (1994), and G.I. Jane (1997), building a reputation for combining mainstream star power with roles that often emphasised toughness and determination.

Alongside her screen work, Moore has been a producer and an influential public figure in entertainment culture, frequently discussed in relation to the changing landscape for female leads in studio filmmaking. In later years she continued acting across film and television, taking on a mix of supporting roles and character parts while remaining a recognisable presence in popular culture.
